内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 The automobile industry in Japan has been adopting technologies in its operations at an unprecedented scale. New technologies such as automation, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) digital technology and big date, the internet of things(IoT), and blockchain have found numerous applications in the automobile sector. The automobile industry has had to reconsider its innovation, focusing on the production of vehicles, making individual users more comfortable and cars more efficient through safer technology and digitalization. The rapid technological evolution and digitalization that have occurred in recent decades have also affected human resource management (HRM) practices in the automobile industrial sector. A significant concern is rapidly accelerating automation, particularly the use of robots. Many experts and researchers consider it a driver of employment losses, particularly in routine jobs. It was inevitable that for HRM to adopt such an advancement that drastically influenced businesses’ work and management. New technology has caused a total reevaluation and improvement of the procedures and systems of different areas of business, including HRM. This study investigates the impact of new technologies on HRM practices in Japan’s automobile manufacturing industry.
