In Hanoi, rapid urbanization, extensive land cover changes, and impermeable surfaces have increased the city's vulnerability to flooding. The outdated drainage systems, overwhelmed by heavy rainfall, exacerbate flood risks, particularly in low-lying areas like the central region. This study aims to assess urban flooding susceptibility in Hanoi and explore the potential of Blue-green infrastructure (BGI) as a sustainable solution. The finding shows that the potential of BGI in the study area is quite large. Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and statistical analysis, the research evaluates factors such as land use, topography, hydrology, and infrastructure. The findings highlight BGI's potential to reduce flood risks and enhance urban resilience, emphasizing its integration into urban planning.
