| 内容記述 | The ‘Unity in Diversity: Inspiring Future Generations’ project was inspired by the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. It aims to unite people from diverse backgrounds, focusing on gender, second language acquisition, and diversity. Initiated in 2020 and funded by the University of Kitakyushu until 2023, it later received support from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (Project No. 23K02140). The project is delivered bilingually (Japanese/English) to benefit students pursuing English Language teaching licenses and those in foreign language studies at the University of Kitakyushu. Bilingual instruction makes Unity in Diversity more real and accessible to students. Students see the reality of two living languages being used simultaneously in the classroom and benefit from being able to use both languages freely without feeling the pressure to perform in one language or the other. | |||||||||
