| 内容記述 | In this thesis, an alternative variant of a water Trombe wall designed to grow living plants inside its air cavity was proposed. The experiment has used a retrofitted existing Trombe wall to grow 395 basil plants using the Kratky hydroponic method during a year-long period. The available historical and experimental thermal observations, experimental measurements and weather data were analyzed to assess its performance and fitness as a solar energy-capturing device and as a cultivation space. The results have shown significant balancing (by 17.53°C yearly), cooling (by 4.08°C) and humidifying (by 7.86%) effects of plants on the Trombe wall' s air. The energy efficiency of the green Trombe wall was reduced from 26 to 18% (absorption) and from 85 to 46% (dissipation) compared to the baseline TW and provided yearly about 10000MJ of energy to the building. The cultivation was possible year-round producing yearly 20.55kg of edible greens in its interior. | |||||||
