It has long been used in Japanese house, especially in summer. Its original function was to prevent direct solar radiation and introduce natural ventilation. The characteristic Sudare from makes it possible to see through to objects outside the house. As shading device, Sudare can be implemented in hot areas where most of the problem is high cooling energy demand. Recentry, Jakarta has implemented a new standard for new building construction to reduce the energy consumption of office buildings.This has to meet the minimum Overall Thermal Transfer Value (OTTV) of 35 watt/m2. Based on this study, the optimum form of Sudare blind, with a diameter of 10.01 mm and 5 mm spacers. The visibility value of this configuration is 2.65; privacy is 4.27. It also gives better uniformity of daylight distribution, which improves visual performance and comfort.}, school = {北九州市立大学}, title = {Study on Optimization of Visibility and Energy Efficiency of New "Sudare" for Building Façade}, year = {} }
