| 内容記述 | This study focuses on open waste burning (OWB) activity and mitigation strategy which consists of five chapters. The first chapter is a literature review on global and regional scales using systematic literature network analysis (SLNA), highlighting environmental and health impacts, recent inventory assessments, and factors affecting OWB practices. The results show concerns about environmental and health risks from OWB. The second chapter studies the temporal pattern of OWB in Semarang City. Using transect walk survey methods, only 11.38% of waste piles were unburned, with the highest burning intensity in the urban area. Each person burns approximately 1.098 kg of waste daily. The third chapter assesses health and environmental risks, with plastic burning contributing the highest emissions. The fourth chapter discusses mitigation scenarios in Semarang City by optimizing waste collection sites (WCSs). The last chapter, a regional-based study, prioritizes actions to reduce OWB, emphasizing the capacity of national and local authorities. | |||||||||
