内容記述 | This study examines waste separation and recycling (WSRi) in higher education institutions through a regional literature review, a case study in Malang City, and a broader study across Indonesia. The literature review reveals that waste management in higher education is a major research concern, with gaps in environmental awareness needing further exploration. In Malang City, universities are rapidly increasing waste production, posing challenges for waste management, infrastructure, and public behavior. A study at Universitas Negeri Malang shows environmental education significantly influences future teachers’ intentions toward sustainable waste practices. Additionally, environmental knowledge and facility availability moderate the relationship between education and recycling behavior, reinforcing positive attitudes. A regional study involving pre-service teachers across Indonesia highlights that environmental knowledge, more than attitudes, drives recycling intentions. Accessible campus recycling facilities also play a crucial role, emphasizing the need for education, infrastructure, and supportive policies to foster sustainable behaviors. | |||||||
